RateParity is an educational and informational calculator that helps compare contractor day rates with permanent salaries across European countries. It is based on publicly available tax information and standard assumptions.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

✓ Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to RateParity
✓ Not resell or redistribute RateParity's data or content
✓ Not use RateParity for unlawful purposes

4. Accuracy Disclaimer (CRITICAL)

RateParity calculates estimates based on publicly available tax data and standard assumptions. Results are not guaranteed to be accurate.

5. Limitation of Liability

RateParity is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind.

RateParity will NOT be liable for:

• Inaccurate calculations or results
• Decisions you make based on RateParity estimates
• Tax liabilities, penalties, or interest due to relying on RateParity
• Lost income, business opportunities, or other consequential damages
• Service interruptions or technical errors

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you have paid for RateParity (usually €0 for free users).

6. No Warranty

RateParity is provided without any warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Intellectual Property

RateParity owns: All code, design, content, tax methodologies, and data compilation
You retain: Ownership of your input data and scenarios
License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use RateParity for personal use
Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell RateParity's content or code

8. Pro Account Terms

Registration & Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are liable for all activity under your account.

Payment Terms

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly (€29/month) or annually (€290/year). Billing occurs on your subscription anniversary. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

Refund Policy

Monthly plans are non-refundable. If you cancel an annual plan early, the unused months are adjusted to the standard monthly rate.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings. Your access will end at the end of your current billing period.

Termination by Us

RateParity may terminate your Pro account if you violate these terms or engage in unlawful activity. We will attempt to notify you before termination.

9. Modifications to Service

RateParity reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide notice of material changes when possible.

10. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. We will notify you by email or post a notice on our website. Your continued use of RateParity constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
